RO Land is conducting a survey of the Great Chishill community and neighbouring villages to understand attitudes towards development on a 1.8 acre field south of Hall Lane.

RO Land is a land promotion business that has been appointed by the owners of the land. We are part of the RO Group, which is a Hertfordshire based family business with interests in property investment and development, green energy and venture capital.

We are considering the potential development of the site for; market housing aimed at families, affordable housing, starter homes, downsizer or retirement housing, or some combination of all four.

Affordable housing could comprise traditional affordable rented property, or intermediate housing, for example property rented at a discount to market value, Key worker housing, shared equity or shared ownership.

The two larger fields north of Hall Lane; Bull Meadow and Wright’s Meadow (denoted by the larger area outlined in white) are also in the same ownership and could be used for public open space, additional land for the pub, areas for biodiversity enhancement, a community orchard, or as additional space for the cricket club. We are keen to understand community views in this regard as well as the potential development of the smaller site.

We would like to hear your feedback and ideas and have created a short survey.

Thank you for help with this.
